America
I've been in Minneapolis for almost a week now and things are going pretty good. When I first arrived I wanted to take the first plane home. Probably because I was really tired and a bit emotional and I missed my boyfriend. Which I still do. Yes I found myself a monkey man about 2 months ago . Not the best timing in the world, but oh well shit happens. You can't really help who you meet when. Anyways after the first two nights and after some rest things started getting better. The people here are really nice and friendly. Funny too. The food is horrible though. Everything is fried! I'm almost sure they inject fat in the fruits and veggies aswell. So I'm a bit terrified I'll get fat. Thank god there's a gym on campus. The other exchange students are a fun group of people. I like them. We had a party yesterday so I'm not feeling all too good today. I had some weird tequila drinks in cans. I'm not touching that again. Today we went to the Mall of America and did some shopping. I finally found a nice winter jacket and it was actually pretty cheap Later on we're going out for dinner to a Thai restaurant. It's a busy life here in Minneapolis!

The ice age is here..
How is it possible that it turned winter in less than a week? Unbelievable. This morning I couldn't even get out of our building because the door was stuck because of all the snow. Today the weather is nice though. The sun is shining and it's not nearly as windy as it's been the last couple of days. Yesterday you almost had to grab on to stuff so you wouldn't blow away. Brrrrr. I shouldn't really be complaining though, it's less depressing when the snow brightens everything up. I don't know how I'm going to survive Minneapolis though. It's supposed to be alot colder than here. Eeeek. I got my visa by the way! So now I'm officially going to the USA after christmas. Super exciting, but very stressful at the same time. There's so many things to do before I leave, so many parties to go to and so many people to see!
Yesterday we had a movie night at Emma's place. Lee picked the creepiest horror movie ever. After 15 minutes you just wanted it to end. The fact that the movie was based on real events didn't make it any better. Everybody tried to hide behind their hands and were just peeking through the fingers. It looked a bit funny.
Today we'll bake cinnamon breads with the tutors and hopefully some exchange students. Yay!

Annual Ball Weekend
This weekend I can only describe in one word: CRAZY. The annual ball was great. Alot of fun people and I was pretty happy with my dress in the end. The after party was at a club called The Circus. The drinks are pretty expensive there and it was not that busy, but I had fun. Probably because I got pretty drunk since I didn't really eat much that day. Anyways I spend most of the time on the dance floor. I'm amazed I didn't fall flat on my ass with my heels! I managed to stay classy. Yay!
In Finland the day after an annual ball you go to a thing called silliz. Silliz means basically that you get up early and get drunk all over again. That's exactly what I did. Well I was not even completely sober to start with when I woke up. The silliz was alot of fun. Drinking on an almost empty stomach is not the best idea though. Anyways me and a friend from school went to her place to get towels so we could go to the sauna. In her flat we found a bottle of tequila and as you can imagine the night did not end well for either of us. We survived though and had a great time.
Getting really drunk is fun while you're doing it, but it's not fun the couple of days after when you have to think about all the stupid stuff you've done and all the stuff you can't even remember doing. People always tell me I'm a funny drunk because I'm just always in a really good mood and really happy. I guess it's not that bad, but getting really drunk is still not a thing I like to do very often. I prefer to be a bit tipsy and have fun. I can't deny it was a freaking awesome weekend though!

Weekend at my parents
I've just spend a long relaxing weekend at my parents. I did have classes yesterday but I skipped them so I could sort out my final papers for my visa. Almost there now! All I have to do now is wait for my passport drop in with the mail some day soon. I really hope they're giving me the visa otherwise I'm gonna break into little pieces. It's less than two months left now. WEEE!
We celebrated father's day on Saturday. I made an incredibly tasty cake. It was a chocolate cake with alot of chocolate frosting. So good. We also had some tortillas. After eating all that you felt like bursting! Splatter the chocolate all over the walls. My mum fixed my annual ball dress because it was way too long. I could tell she didn't like my dress at all but she didn't admit it. The first thing she asked me was: "Aren't you gonna wear a bra underneath it?" And I responded "MUM I'M WEARING A BRA!" It's not always fun to be a bit fuller on top. I asked my dad what he thought and he said: "Oh it looks nice, is that the one you sew out of curtains?" This is what I have to put up with ALL the time. Jesus christ. Apparently I have to go to the annual ball with an ugly dress but whatever. I think I'll feel fine after a couple of drinks.
Even though my parents made fun of me and my dress, I had a really nice weekend. I love lying on my parents couch with Eevi in my lap watching TV and just being lazy. It's nice to have a quiet lazy weekend sometimes. Eevi is out little lovely wiener dog. We also have Elvis, but he's old and going blind soon. Poor thing. I feel so sorry for him.

I have no idea what to put here so this is the title.
I went to the american embassy today again.. and they didn't send me home! Yessss! I have to send them some papers still, but I'm so happy I don't have to go back there again. Minneapolis here I come! If I get the visa that is. After my interview I went to the city center to hunt for a dress for the annual ball which is next friday and I actually managed to find one. It was 30 euros from HM. It's bright red and the fabric is silk. A bit too long but it'll do. Not bad at all for 30 euros.
When I got back home I made some spaghetti and meatballs. I gave myself a big kick in the ass and finished a paper on homelessness. Speaking of homelessness, I saw a poor lady today from the tram and I felt really sorry for her. Then I saw what it said on her hat and I couldn't help but laugh a little bit in my head. It said nutcase. I'm 100% sure she is not aware what is says or means. Poor lady.
The rest of the night I've spend in front of the computer, chatting to people and watching TV series. I think I've accomplished enough today so I deserve to be lazy. I ordered 3 books from the internet aswell. One for school and two books about ayurveda. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get them. Time for more TV series..

One of those days
I started my day with paying my rent. I paid 90 euros to much. I have no idea what was going on in my head when I did that. I'll get the money back but still. I continued my day with breaking a glass. I dropped it and it broke into a million little pieces. Then I went to the store to buy grosseries. On my way home the freaking grosseribag broke. I had to carry it home like a baby. So it's for sure one of those days today. My plan for tonight is to stay in and watch movies so nothing more can go wrong. I've also made a pizza. It's waiting for me in the oven. It's a healthy pizza with mushrooms, onions, sun-dried tomato's and low-fat cheese. Yummy! I can't remember when I've stayed home by myself on a Friday night. It's pretty relaxing.

AUCH!
Auch is all I have to say. I woke up this morning thinking my mucels weren't THAT sore, so I went out for a run. BIG BIG mistake. I've been walking around like a duck all day. My legs hurt, my ass hurts and my abs hurt. It hurts to sit down, it hurts to stand up and it even hurts to walk. Everytime I need the toilet I try to hold myself as long as possible because it's so freaking painful. Tomorrow I'll rest for sure. There's no chance I'm working out.
Tomorrow we're going out for dinner and maybe some drinks. Everybody is so depressed and frustrated from school and the lousy weather, so we decided we should do something fun to cheer up. Seriously, we haven't had any sunshine in weeks. It sucks. I need some yellow in my life! I can't stand all this greyness. It's starting to get bedtime for me. Maybe I'll dream myself away somwhere sunny!
